Baoji Painted Horse Ladle(宝鸡马勺脸谱) is a form of folk art which draws colorful artistic faces on water ladles for feeding horses or for storing grains developed in history by the people of Baoji District in Shanxi Province. The mask is formed often in an oval shape, decorated with vibrantly painted facial makeup on the convex face for traditional merry-making festivities based on the ingenuity of the craftsman who created it. People hang it inside their house to attract good luck.
